New Hair Trend- French Plaits

This summer 09 I am absolutely loving French plaits as they are so crucial to the LA look that I'm going for this season and are so pretty! They can be added to an array of beautiful hairstyles and add a chic look to the everyday outfit. Lauren Conrad loves wearing her hair in French plaits as does Diane Kruger, The Olsen twins and many other fashionistas. So wear your plaits with pride my fellow fashion fanatics!

Kate Bosworth's LA style

I absolutely love Kate Bosworth. I mean she's breathtakingly beautiful and she has the best sense of style out of all the celebrities in my humble opinion. I've never actually seen her looking bad and the way she puts outfits together is pure genius. Bosworth first became famous in 2002 when she starred in the surfer themed film Blue Crush. Since then she has starred in many other films including Beyond the Sea and Superman Returns. She is also well known for previously dating the gorgeous actor Orlando Bloom. In 2008 she became Calvin Klein Jeans newest model. Bosworth has a typical laid back LA style at heart but she can also look really sophisticated on the red carpet which I think is what fashion's all about, versatility. Here are some of my favourite looks of Kate Bosworth.

Peep toe shoe boots are so in!

This summer 09 myself and pretty much every other fashionista are falling in love with peep toe shoe boots (I know its a bit of a mouthful). Why? because they're so versatile and utterly fabulous! There's just something about the unconventional nature of the shoe/boot/peep toe hybrid that adds a unique twist to the everyday outfit, which in my opinion makes them a groundbreaking new trend. The designers have thoroughly embraced the peep toe shoe boot and created a gorgeous array of designs. Jimmy Choo has created the simply breathtaking nude Reese cutout suede shoe boots whilst, Alexander Mcqueen's Neon Flash shoe boots are immensely popular and have been worn by the likes of Heidi Montag, Mischa Barton and Lindsey Lohan. Countless other designers including Nicholas Kirkwood have created their own versions of this amazing new piece of footwear, however my absolute favourite version of the shoe boot which I will hopefully be getting as a birthday present in a few weeks (hint, hint) is Christian Louboutin's Deva fringed shoe boot which is available in beige and black and is absolutely gorgeous. Kim Kardashian wore them with ripped shorts and looked totally on trend.

There's no stopping H&M: Jimmy Choo Next Collaborator!

Did you hear that? Jimmy Choo.. H&M.. In the same sentence? Theres no stopping H&M! I read this great news whilst on the train; it made my day! To be honest I wasn't so excited about the Mathew Williamson range, (even though I done a post about it) though the pieces were great it really isn't my thing; I prefer stark, dark colours.. hopefully Jimmy Choo will create something a bit femine and dark!

"We are privileged to be among the fashion greats who have been affiliated with H&M so far, and to be designing a collection appealing to fashion savvy, street smart women, and to be including some great pieces for men, too. Jimmy Choo will bring to H&M a sophisticated, fashion forward, accessible and glamorous collection - the perfect party pieces to buy now and then wear out that night!" - founder and president of Jimmy Choo, Tamara Mellon.

"We adore Jimmy Choo's shoes and bags. They are glamorous and sexy, and they add instant style to the simplest of outfits.I like the way we have worked with clothes to accessorize the shoes and bags rather than the other way around. This collaboration is particularly exciting because it's our first shoe designer collection. It's a joy to be able to offer top end designer shoes and bags of excellent quality to our customers." - Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor of H&M said.

Jimmy Choo will also design a range of clothes for H&M (both men and women), so that the clothes go effertlessly with the shoes.

The collection is out November 14th 2009. Just watch.. I'll be first in queue!

Socks are great!

Socks with shoes, especially heels go hand in hand! I remember I wore grey ankle socks one time with these embellished red shoes and everyone looked at me as if I was mad (I get that look alot so I'm very used to it) even one of my friends said "... Do you know your wearing socks?" I replied of course and she just backed away as if I just occured a dreadful disease!
Not only is it great way of showing of your socks, but if your out at night well at least your toesies will be nice and warm! See? Fashion is fun and also practical! We all secretly know that our feet/toes would fall off when were out, because of the cold!

Style Update.

Everyone is wearing mini-skirts. Apparently. I thought everyone was wearing maxi-dresses..? Well I suppose everyone is wearing anything that is deemed in. I'm writing this and watching Eastenders (isn't the new doctor gorge?) so I cant be bothered to type. I'll simply just upload pics..

The Fashionable King of Pop.

It just occured to me that Michael Jackson has (emphasising the word has) really good style. Okay the outfits on stage may be a tad eccentric but really that was only in the 90's and to be frank everything in the 90's was just simply weird anyways. But after watching the countless re-runs of Billie Jean, Don't Stop till You Get Enough, Beat It, etc I noticed that Michael always had a way of making the outfit a little bit.. cooler. Look at Beat It, he wore the sleeves of that infamous red leather jacket rolled up to the elbows.. isn't that the look were all trying to merge into our outfits? Or better still the above-the-ankle trousers with the socks? How many guys do we see prancing around in 7/8's?! Don't even get me started on the hats.. I could go on for ages but I'd rather keep this short and snappy. It just goes to show, Michael Jackson a.k.a. King of Pop, known for amazing music has great style!

The last two pictures are obviously recent and Michael is wearing a Givenchy Studded Blazer which I must say is to die for! Uh its fab! In the latter, as you can see from the pictures with the models Michael is decked out in Balmain! Look at the stone washed jeans! Hello?! Ha! It just goes to show that I'm right.. Michael is super stylish! Okay I'm acting a tad bit OTT. The first picture is from the video Beat It, and like I said he has rolled his sleeves to the elbows. Cool! The leather jacket (which is soo in right now because of the embellishment) has shoulder pads which really suits his rather slender frame. Not to mention he was so handsome then, what a shame.. It should be re-written.. The Fashionable King of Pop. You all must be thinking why I'm talking as if he is in the present, (You wouldn't believe how hard that was to write) but I just simply won't come to terms with the news, to me MJ has simply gone on a long vaction so he can get away from the prying media...

My Fun life.. and Emma Watson.

Post number 2. I'm dedicating a day to just posting anything that inspires me. This necessarily does not have to be about fashion, although the majority of the posts will be based on fashion. I sound like such a loser staying at home when I could be out enjoying myself (the weather is lovely) but sometimes I like staying at home doing interesting (others may so boring) things like reading, listening to rather odd music (as my lovely mother once said), or better still sitting by myself twiddling my thumbs lost in thought.. those last words just gave a lovely insight of my fun fun life..

I must say I was suprised but not totally suprised to see Emma Watson as the front cover for Elle. I'm jealous. It didnt suprise me because she is in the new campaign for Burberry and she looked great; real English-rose beauty. To be honest I never liked her, at all. I remember being in New York in our room and watching Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and my dear friend and I just laughing at her because of her snooty voice and well.. just everything about her. Looking back I'm sure for me it was pure envy, she just has this simple fresh face but can easily stand out from the crowd. As well as my fetish for skinny jeans on guys, I have a stronger fetish for deep thick eyebrows - not uni-brow mind you - I dunno why I just love them on guys (Zachary Quinto.. he has the best eyebrows! I've fallen in love with them!) and girls, and Emma has the best, even Elle commented on them. I also love the fact that fame hasn't got to her; she going to Cambridge University.. lucky thing! This shows that she has a brain, not like other young celebrities I could mention.. Yes. Emma definately get's my vote on style icon of the future.

Were back!

Soo sorry everyone for literally dissapearing from the face of the earth, coursework, exams and everything else really is vair vair stressfull! And I dont know about my other blogger but hearing about Michael Jackson's death really got to me; got to me so much that I just want to push it far back into my mind as possible and just act as if it never happened. (And yes, I did get tickets plus after party too, poo!) With school stress, driving lessons and other crap (i.e. hair, nails, eyebrow, clothes!) I nearly fell into a mini depression mode, worse still I've gained weight! Good grief could anything be worse?! I could just about put up with other stuff but being fat? I'd rather cut off my leg..
..That sounds soo vein, but really I don't care.
On the plus note I got my August edition of Elle and Grazia so I'm feeling mucho mejor...
Blogger number 2 is spending time with her boyfriend and shopping aswell.. a great combination *sigh* lucky her..
Well I think thats all I have to say.

I thought I'll add these Jimmy Choo's (Reese cutout suede boots) because I just saw them and remind me of the YSL Cage boot.. but these have a touch of feminity to them rather than the YSL pair, which really I can't see what they could go with.. maybe I'm just not fashionable enough.. haha.
